Oil Stain Removal for Concrete & Asphalt
Effective petroleum stain removal for industrial yards, pads, drive lanes, and shop floors.
The Problem
Oil and fuel stains and spills on concrete are common anywhere vehicles, machinery, or petroleum products are handled. This includes oilfield yards, trucking terminals, fleet maintenance facilities, equipment shops, manufacturing plants, warehouses, loading docks, marinas, farms, municipal works yards, and even residential driveways.
Diesel fuel, motor oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, and gasoline quickly penetrate porous concrete surfaces. Once absorbed, petroleum bonds within the concrete matrix, creating dark staining, persistent odors, and potential slip hazards. In high-traffic areas, repeated spills can accumulate and become increasingly difficult to remove.
Traditional degreasers often rely on strong solvent systems that are flammable, emit heavy fumes, and may present environmental or worker safety concerns. Absorbents may remove surface liquid but do not treat petroleum embedded within the concrete. As a result, stains return, odors persist, and cleanup becomes an ongoing issue.
The Solution
Petro Buster® emulsifies petroleum residues, allowing them to be lifted from the surface and dispersed safely with water. It reduces reliance on flammable solvent-based cleaners while delivering strong industrial performance.
Directions – Concrete
- Remove Oil Stains from Concrete (Directions)
- Verify amount needed by estimating how much water would cover your area effected. Generally it requires at least 1 gallon of mix for each 10SqFt of Concrete.
- Dilute 1 part Petro Buster with 4 parts water
- Pour liberally on to the Oil stain on Concrete
- Scrub firmly with stiff bristle brush until it starts foaming
- Keep scrubbing until foam turns brown. That is the surface Oil being removed from the Concrete
- Rinse away with fresh water
- Repeat 1 to 4 above and then let the product dry in Concrete
- You should see the Oil stain fade and go away over next couple hours as it dries
- You can wet the area with water to re-activate the Petro Buster and you can ad more Petro Buster if needed and continue this process until clean
